| Popis | Homologous chromosome pairing is one of the crutial step in meiotic division of gametes. Zip1 protein represents a key component during the formation of so-called synaptonemal complex (SC). Analysis of two Zip-related proteins from budding yeast S.cerevisiae revealed that Ecm11 and Gmc2 together with SUMO participate in reguation and correct function of Zip1 during SC assembly. |
