Popis	The article summarizes the experience of switching from DSpace to Islandora. It briefly gives the historical background and reasons for switching to Islandora. It then compares the basic features of the two systems: installation, updates, operations, and customization options. Finally, it concludes practical lessons learned from the migration and provides examples of implemented digital libraries at Masaryk University.
