The project aim is to implement a complex information system (IS) for human resources (HR) management, built on principles of modularity and openness. The system will be released into production use at all collaborating universities, and integrated with related or overlaying information systems.

Complexity means wide coverage of application areas falling within HR, differentiated and individualized coverage of information needs of various user classes, and coverage of cross-links to various collaborating systems within university information infrastructure.

Modularity and openness mean implementation in the form of a set of independent modules mutually communicating via defined interfaces, and implementation of those interfaces in a general and fully documented form. That is, a prefabricated system giving the university independence from providers of fragment information subsystems, and, consequently, freedom in selecting these providers.

The core of the implementation will be modules of the information system PaM Magion version 2007 of the external provider MAGION System, a.s. These modules will uniformly replace current versions of HR systems at all collaboration universities, and the necessary communication and integration interfaces will be developed in collaboration of the universities with the provider. These interfaces will be individually applied within the information infrastructures at individual universities according to their local needs and requirements.

The project will also serve as a basis for constituting a consortium of universities running the IS Magion. The task of the consortium will be to coordinate collaboration between the universities and MAGION System, a.s. in future years.
