The European Commission Recognized the Fulfillment of Our HR Award Action Plan

Two years after receiving the HR Excellence in Research Award (HR Award), we have successfully passed the European Commission's assessment of our Action plan. The commissioners rated our implementation as reliable, systematic and in line with the set goals. Among other things, it is a confirmation of our efforts and commitment to continuous improvement and support of our employees.

We are thus entering the next three-year phase of the HR Award renewal, in which we will continue to fulfill the goals set out in the action plan. This new phase will also be completed on the basis of an on-site inspection by representatives of the European Commission. Find out more about our HR Award journey on our website.

The Future of IT at MUNI: Interview with the Vice-Rector on IT Plans and Challenges

In an interview with Vice-Rector Radim Polčák, we discussed changes in IT at Masaryk University. We discussed how the university is adapting to new needs and how it manages funding and maintaining a high level of IT services. We also touched on the Vice-Rector's view on the importance of the adaptation of the Institute of Computing to the University's strategic plan and the role of IT during crisis situations such as the recent covid-19 pandemic. We also discussed future plans, including the relocation of the Institute of Computer Science and its involvement in research activities and projects such as EOSC.

Briefly and Clearly on the Implementation of EOSC in the Czech Environment

Colleagues leading the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) CZ initiative have published an article that presents a comprehensive overview of the Czech approach to the national implementation of EOSC. It briefly and practically summarizes the current plans for the development of our national data infrastructure for FAIR research data. It is now available for reading in the arXiv scientific papers repository.
