MUNI helps, and we help with her. That is why we used our 3D printer and printed over 600 mask holders for paramedics in the South Moravian Region. Other university workplaces, such as the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science, also joined us to print 3D clips.

In the spring of 2020, during the first wave of the pandemic, plastic shields were printed. At the end of the year, there was again a great demand among (not only) paramedics for so-called mask holders that relieve bruises after a long time spent in protective equipment, for example.

"The MUNI Helps volunteer center has addressed us with a request for help with the printing of mask holders. Of course, we agreed and started printing on a 3D printer that we have available in the University Computer Study Room," explained Vladimír Schindler, coordinator for the ICS.

Together with us, the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Science, and other organizations also joined the volunteer center's call, so the first 3 300 pieces of mask holders for paramedics from the South Moravian Region were prepared within a few days. At the moment, we are waiting if more demands will appear in the new year.
