Description	3-Oxo-2-hexylcyklopentane carbonitrile is used as intermediary product for manufacturing of a part of fragrant compositions. This developed manufacturing process starts from 2-hexylcyclopent-2-en-1-one that reacts with hydrogen cyanide in the presence of catalyst, i. e. polymer supported hydroxide anion under corresponding nitrile formation. Product,3-oxo-2-hexylcyklopentane carbonitrile may be used without separation for preparation of fragrance.
