| Description | The contribution is focused on the BclC lectin that displays affinity for both fucosylated and mannosylated saccharides. Separate cloning of N- and C terminal parts of the protein showed that while C-terminal part, which is homologous to PA-IIL, displays narrow specificity for mannosylated oligosaccharides, N-terminal part represent a novel lectin domain with strict specificity towards fucosylated oligosaccharides. |
