| Description | Pollen stainability of apomictic taxa of Hieracium subgen. Pilosella was tested and compared with those in sexuals and seed-sterile plants. Pollen samples were obtained from sexual tetraploid Hieracium bauhini, apomictic pentaploid and hexaploid H. bauhini, sexual tetraploid H. densiflorum, apomictic pentaploid H. pilosellinum, seed-sterile triploid H. pistoriense and sterile pentaploid H. brachiatum. The highest pollen stainability was found in sexual and some apomictic plants. The lowest pollen stainability and the higher inter- and intrapopulation difference was discovered among the other of apomictic plants. |
