| Description | Ectopic expression of human p53 in avian leukemic monoblasts BM2 induces cell cycle arrest in G2, early monocytic differentiation but no apoptosis. This suggests that the species-specific differences of the p53 molelecules,promoter/enhancers, co-factors in avian and human cells do not interfere with differentiation- and cell cycle arrest promoting capabilities of the p53 tumor suppressor even in the presence of functional v-Myb oncoprotein. |
