Description	Atypical anatipsychotics improve the quality of life,social functioning and cognitive deficit more significatnly than old antipsychotics. Recently, criteria for remission in schizophrenia have been defined. The criteria include 8 symptoms according to PANSS which represent three main clusters of symptoms (distorsion of reality, desorganisation and psychomotor poverty. Zhe intensity should not exceed the value 3 and this state should last minimally 6 months. With availability of Risperdla Consta which improves compliance, the remisson in schizophrenia starts to be a real goal of treatment.The remission is also a suitable too for measurement of treatment efficacy.
