Description	Effect of ribitol and mannitol addition to cuts of Lasallia pustulata and Umbilicaria hirsuta was studied at +6, -6, and -18 degree Celsius. The temperature- and polyol-induced changes in functioning of PS II were monitored by a chlorophyll fluorescence technique.
