Description	The paper deals with quality assurance procedures for general-purpose language resources. Special attention is paid to quality control in wordnet development. General issues of quality management are tackled; technical as well as methodological aspects are discussed. As a case study, the application of the described procedures is demonstrated on the quality evaluation techniques in the context of the BalkaNet project.
