Description	The aim of the study was to prove the existence of double genotype coincidence of polymorphic candidate genes between normotensive and hypertensive subjects. A Czech population sample (398 subjects, 192 normotensives and 206 hypertensives) was genotyped at angiotensinogen (M235T) and endothelin-1 (G8002A ET-1)genes using PCR method. We proved interaction of two polymorphic variants of both genes in essential hypertension-the decrease of MT heterozygotes in (--)homozygotes (P=0.0025) and the increase of the alele (-) in MM homozygotes(P=0.0034).
