| Description | This study demonstrates a coupling of on-tissue ozonization with MALDI-2 mass spectrometry imaging for mapping of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) isomers in biological tissues. Whole-body section imaging of mice revealed distinct distributions of lipid isomers across organs, notably identifying brown adipose tissue as an interesting target for isomer analysis. Mapping of PE isomers in human low-grade colon adenocarcinoma demonstrates the potential of the technique for studying lipid metabolism in tumors. |
