Description | This pilot study focused on the use of unconventional non-invasive methods in patients with bicuspid aortic valve (BAV). A cohort of 76 patients was examined, assessing hemodynamic and vascular parameters using continuous blood pressure monitoring (Finapres® NOVA) and sphygmography (SphygmoCor®). The results revealed pathological alterations in several indicators (e.g., increased stroke volume, reduced contractility index, impaired autonomic regulation, and higher arterial stiffness). These findings suggest that integrating such methods with standard echocardiography may improve risk stratification and individualized management of BAV patients. |
