| Description | Rokštejn Castle changed ownership in the mid-14th century, becoming the property of the Moravian Margrave Jan Jindřich. He made significant modifications to the castle’s layout and, alongside two comfortable palaces, commissioned the construction of a relatively large building that can be interpreted as a castle bath. Its operation ceased at the beginning of the 15th century due to its uneconomical functioning, largely caused by the high consumption of wood for heating. The two-story building was designed to accommodate a considerable number of people, and the material culture suggests that it hosted festivities associated with the bath’s use. |
