Description | Prenylated phenols are natural substances that are used in traditional medicine for their wide range of biological effects. Broussoflavonol B was isolated from Broussonetia papyrifera with various biological activities, such as antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory activity. The anti-inflammatory activity of broussoflavonol B has been described in vitro, and inhibition of NF-?B and IL-1ß activity has been demonstrated. The next step in the investigation of the biological activity of these natural compounds is to verify their anti-inflammatory potential in vivo. The experiment follows the previous in vitro research phases, which confirmed the anti-inflammatory activity of the selected natural substances. |
