Description Prenylated phenols are natural substances that are used in traditional medicine for their wide range of biological effects. Morusin is a prenylated flavonoid isolated from Morus alba with various biological activities, such as antitumor, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. The anti-inflammatory activity of morusin has been described in vitro, and inhibition of NF-?B and STAT3 activity has been demonstrated. The next step in the investigation of the biological activity of these natural compounds is to verify their anti-inflammatory potential in vivo.
