| Description | Numerical model of a streamer in 2D and 3D, created on a fluid basis for electrons, positive and negative ions, which interact with each other and generate an electric field, including photoionization, interaction with solid insulators and using adaptive mesh refinement. The streamer model was created for discharge in air (0.5 bar – 3 bar) and also in mixtures of alternative gas-fluoronitrile C3F7CN. This numerical streamer model allows to include the effect of surface and volume charges in the prediction of the distribution of electric fields and the prediction of the discharge voltage. This significantly increased the accuracy of models of high-voltage equipment filled with gas and solid insulators. |
