Description	The increasing incidence of esophageal malignancies led the authors to publish a review article on the possibilities of cooperation between oncologists and interventional radiologists. The article summarizes the current knowledge about the indications and con- indications of different types of stents and their possible complications. The article is also supplemented by the experience of the Department of Non-Vascular Interventional Radiology of the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and the University Hospital Brno.
