| Description | Alzheimer’s disease (AD) represents the most common cause of dementia. According to amyloid cascade hypothesis, pathogenesis of the disease could be slowed down or even stopped by inhibition of beta-secretase (BACE). Capillary electrophoretic (CE) methods are regarded as a promising tool for enzyme assays. A CE method with fluorescence detection for screening of potential BACE inhibitors was therefore introduced. |
