| Description | In this study, we examined the self-disclosure of Czech adolescent members of purely online communities (N = 244). We analyzed the association between self-disclosure and the online disinhibition, disclosing behavior of other members, and the fear of misusing published information (controlling for gender and age). Online disinhibition and members´ disclosing behavior positively predicted self-disclosure in online community; fear of information misuse had no effect. The findings are discussed with regard to the group norms of self-disclosure and online risks. |
