| Description | In conclusion, in some patients large-vessel vasculitis (also known as giant cell arteritis) is associated with clinical signs of PMR and vice versa. Not only may active vasculitis be detected using FDG PET/CT imaging, but also inflammation in other regions including the proximal joints and particularly extraarticular synovial structures which comprise cervical or lumbar interspinous spaces. |
