| Description | Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI MS) and substrate-assisted laser desorption inductively coupled plasma (SALD ICP) MS are proposed as complementary detection techniques that allows acquisition of both molecular and element specific information from a single capillary electrophoresis (CE) run recorded on a custom-designed sample target. The whole concept is demonstrated on the analysis of rabbit-liver metallothionein (MT) isoform mixture. |
