Description	The new economically and environmentally advantageous process for preparing of 1-(pyridin-4-yl)piperazine and its 1,1-dialkyl-1-ium derivatives is referred. The invention is based on reaction of 4-chloropyridine or 4-cyanopyridine which is protonized or quaternized by benzyl in water or lower aliphatic alcohol C1-C3 under catalysis by d-metal or cerium in positive charged complex or in the form of compound.
