Description	The paper deals with the study of spatial pattern changes in a channel of small watercourses, on the example of a case study from basin of the Košátecký Stream, the Mělník region. By using the GIS tools was carried out a detailed spatio-temporal analysis of the hydrographical network development. This approach helped to reveal a number of facts regarding the relationship between natural processes and human activities in the environment of the river landscape.
