Entomopatogenní hlístice jsou obligátní letální parazité hmyzu používané v biokontrole hmyzích škůdců. Během infekčního procesu uvolňují exkreční/sekreční produkty, které se skládají ze směsi enzymů a jejich inhibitorů a dalších molekul, umožňujících např. modulaci imunitního systému hostitele. Role exkrečních/sekrečních produktů hlístic bude studována během symbiózy nebo patogeneze s použitím modelového systému, který zahrnuje entomopatogenní hlístici Heterorhabditis bacteriophora, její symbiotickou baktérii Photorhabdus luminescens a hmyzího hostitele. Cílem je identifikace konkrétních
molekul v sekretomu hlístic zejména hmotnostní spektrometrií a RNASeq - získání proteomických a trankriptomických dat. Identifikované/charakterizované molekuly budou připraveny v rekombinantní podobě a testovány na hmyzích hostitelích za účelem zjištění jejich bioaktivních a imunomodulačních vlastností.
