Two high-speed full duplex laser directional links operating at 155 Mbit/s over 2 km through the atmosphere. The links are designed for SDH/ATM protocol. One of the laser directional links (measuring link) is used for study of the main atmospheric phenomena which must be taken into account in the link budget. The meteorological station is included in the measuring link. The other link is intended for the metropolitan academic computer network in Brno. The main aim of the project is obtaining high-quality parameters of the laser directional links even if the weather deteriorates. This demand is solved by high optical dynamic of receiver and by elimination some atmospheric phenomena.
