The CSIRT-MU cybersecurity team has been recertified by Trusted Introducer

By regaining the Trusted Introducer certification, the CSIRT-MU cybersecurity team confirmed its qualities. The prestigious award, which he received three years ago as the first team in the Czech Republic, must be renewed every three years and is preceded by long-term preparation.

The variability of the world of IT technologies, which is continually advancing, means that the team had to prepare again to meet the demanding conditions diligently. The criteria for successful awarding were a total of 45 and covered the entire operation of the team.

By maintaining the Trusted Introducer certification, the CSIRT-MU cybersecurity team has confirmed its high level and increased its reputation both nationally and internationally.

The Future of IT at MUNI: Interview with the Vice-Rector on IT Plans and Challenges

In an interview with Vice-Rector Radim Polčák, we discussed changes in IT at Masaryk University. We discussed how the university is adapting to new needs and how it manages funding and maintaining a high level of IT services. We also touched on the Vice-Rector's view on the importance of the adaptation of the Institute of Computing to the University's strategic plan and the role of IT during crisis situations such as the recent covid-19 pandemic. We also discussed future plans, including the relocation of the Institute of Computer Science and its involvement in research activities and projects such as EOSC.

Colleagues leading the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) CZ initiative have published an article that presents a comprehensive overview of the Czech approach to the national implementation of EOSC. It briefly and practically summarizes the current plans for the development of our national data infrastructure for FAIR research data. It is now available for reading in the arXiv scientific papers repository.
