We Are a Research Institution
It is not quite common for a workplace that takes care of the university's IT facilities to have its research. We are unique in the Czech Republic, and thanks to this, we offer a unique combination of experience in both areas. We are specialized mainly in cybersecurity research and education, led by the C4e Cybercrime Excellence Centre. The second important part of our research is the computing and storage infrastructure of the CERIT-SC centre, which deals with the processing of high-performance computing and analysis of large data.
We Cooperate Across Disciplines
We have over 400 successfully completed national and international projects. Bioinformatics, computational chemistry, life science, cybersecurity... thanks to a brilliant IT background and unique approach, we focus on experimental and innovative usage of our resources for the needs of other research groups from different fields of science. Whether they are giant international consortia or smaller domestic projects, we enjoy scientific cooperation, and we have long-term experience with it.
IT Support of the University
Together with the Information Technology Centres of individual faculties and workplaces, we take care of 40,000 people at the university. We make it easier to work and study every day for them. Together we provide over 150 services for employees and students at MUNI and provide a complete IT infrastructure. Moreover, last year we celebrated 40 years of existence, which means some time in the world of IT technology.
We Lead the Young, and We Educate the Pespective
Bachelor, diploma, dissertation thesis... although we are not a faculty, you can meet students from different fields working with us. They are attracted by interesting topics with practical usage, and under our leadership, excellent theses are created. Many of our employees also teach and bring talented students to their projects.
